Rana leads the Livelihoods and Economic Democratisation team. He has been working with Vasundhara since 1999 on research on community forestry and NTFP issues. Currently he is coordinating the NTFP-based self-reliant cooperative process spread across Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Angul Districts of Orissa. Mr. Balabhadhra Mishra |
Balabhadra Mishra is recently jointed Vasundhara as Sr. program Officer in SLED thematic group. His academic profile includes post graduation in rural management from IRMA after graduation in agriculture from OUAT, Bhubaneswar. He has around 14 years of professional experience in the field of natural resource management and rural livelihoods, strengthening producers cooperatives in oilseeds and forestry sector. His past experience includes organizations like Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) and Western Orissa Oilseeds Growers Union. Mr. Biswanath Tung |
Biswanath initially joined Vasundhara in 2001 as a member of our support staff. He has since become involved in field activities, facilitating NTFP cooperatives in the Kuchinda area. He is currently working with Banani Mahila Samabaya Sangha, a union of local primary cooperatives, facilitating business and marketing undertaken by the cooperatives. |

Mr. Nihar Dash |
Since 2007, Nihar Dash is engaged in Sustainable Livelihood & Economic Democratization team (SLED) at Vasundhara, After completing his Master Degree in Rural Management from Amity Business School he worked with Vasundhara for a short term research project on Forest Rights Act (CWH) also worked with Gram Vikas on Gravity Flow, Solar Water Pump and Bio-diesel Project. Prior to joining Vasundhara, he has worked with AFPRO as program executive. He has specialized in Watershed management and Marketing research and has a Master degree in Tourism Management with specialization on Eco-Tourism. He has had experience working on issues like Handloom based livelihood, Rural Marketing research study, NTFP based livelihood research and community based water supply system. Manamohan Barik
joined Vasundhara in October 2008.
He has 18 years prior experience in
many grassroot NGOs like GRAM VIKAS,
TSRD, and Water Sanitation Hygiene &
Promotion Network. He is a Graduate
in Arts with post Graduate Diploma
in Rural development. He has
received Project management and
Development Training from IRMA,
Ahamadabad. He is also awarded with
many honours and awards including
“Pratibha Samman 2008” for his
contribution in social development
