Soumendra joined Vasundhara in 2003, and currently leads the Land Rights, Access and Tenure team. He works on different aspects of forestlands and tribal rights and access. His experience includes grassroots work as well as project coordination, monitoring and management. He was involved in an IUCN-supported research project on Environmental Security and Livelihoods; and also research on Protected Areas Conservation and livelihoods. Mr. Pradip Mishra |
Pradip has been part of the Land Rights, Access and Tenure team since 2004. He explores the issues of land tenure of tribals and other marginal groups, mainly in western Orissa in the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh and Deogarh. Dr. Sricharan Behera |
Sricharan is a social anthropologist and has done research in Orissa’s tribal areas on indigenous knowledge and traditional forest management systems of the forest dwelling tribes. He joined Vasundhara in 2005 is primarily looking into forestland and tribal rights and policies. In addition to research, Sricharan was involved in relief activities after Orissa’s devastating super cyclone. Mr. Manohar Chauhan |
Manohar’s work on the Land Rights, Access and Tenure team is primarily focused on research and documentation. His background includes more than seven years as a researcher in socio-economic political and public administration. Manohar has a Master’s Degree in Political Science and holds an M.Phil degree. Patap joined Vasundhara in April 2007.
